Commercial questions
Do you pull the electrical permit, or does the general contractor?
It depends on the contract. On most commercial jobs the electrical permit is pulled by the electrical contractor doing the work, and we handle that as part of our scope unless the general contractor's paperwork says otherwise.
Which electrical code will my New Hampshire project be built to?
New Hampshire's State Building Code currently includes the 2023 National Electrical Code with New Hampshire amendments. Individual towns can be at different stages of adoption and can add local requirements, so we confirm the edition and the local amendments with the authority having jurisdiction before we buy material.
Do you work design-build, or only from finished drawings?
Both. We do design-build projects, Auto CAD design and professional project management. We can price a completed set of drawings, or work from a program and develop the electrical design with your team.
How high can your bucket truck reach?
30-54 ft. reach. That covers parking lot lights, signage lighting repairs, high electrical work, exterior electrical installation, roof de-icing and Christmas lighting on commercial properties, without renting a lift or building staging.
Who do I call if something goes down after hours on a commercial site?
Call (603) 224-7474. The office is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and we provide 24-hour on call service for emergencies outside those hours. Use the same number in both cases.
How do I send you an RFP or RFQ?
Contact us with an RFP/RFQ by email to info@irishelectric.net, or start on the contact form and choose Commercial. Include the drawing set or specification, the schedule, and the name of the person handling questions. Call (603) 224-7474 if you need to talk it through first.
