About Irish Electric
Irish Electric is a full-service electrical contracting company proudly serving Hopkinton and the surrounding communities. With decades of experience in the electrical industry, we provide reliable, high-quality electrical services for residential, commercial, and large-scale construction projects. From multi-unit and complex new construction and renovations to service work, generators, and mini-split installations, our experienced team is committed to doing the job right and providing exceptional customer service.
How we started
Irish Electric was founded in 2004 by Darragh Madden. Originally from Ireland, Darragh moved to New Hampshire in 2000 to begin a new life with his future wife. Already a Master Electrician in Ireland, he brought his experience, work ethic, and passion for the trade with him and started Irish Electric out of his home as a one-man operation.
From the start, Darragh's goal was to build an electrical business centered on quality workmanship, exceptional service, and adding value for every client. That sense of Irish pride became a cornerstone of the company and remains part of who we are today. The Celtic knot in our logo represents our Irish heritage and the values that have been woven into Irish Electric since its beginning.
As the company grew, Irish Electric moved twice before eventually settling on Currier Road in Hopkinton, NH, where it remains today. Over the past two decades, we have grown from a one-man operation into a full-service electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, and large-scale construction projects throughout the region.
While much has changed since 2004, the foundation Darragh built the company on has remained the same: work hard, think creatively, take pride in what you do, and always look for ways to deliver value to the customer. Today, we take just as much pride in building lasting relationships with our customers and our community as we do in delivering dependable, safe, and high-quality electrical solutions from start to finish.
