Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed 10 August 2026.

What was aimed at

This site was built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What was built for it

  • Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, including the mobile menu, which is a dialog that traps focus while it is open, closes on Escape, and returns focus to the button that opened it.
  • A “Skip to content” link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches on every page.
  • Focus indicators are visible on every link, button and form control, on light and dark backgrounds alike.
  • Every image carries a text alternative describing what it shows.
  • Headings run in order and each page has one h1; the page uses real landmarks: header, nav, main, footer.
  • Text and interface colors were checked against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios across the site.
  • Animation is transform-only and respects prefers-reduced-motion; no content is left invisible if scripts or animations do not run.
  • Answers on the FAQ and service pages are written into the page itself, so they are present for a screen reader and for anyone whose scripts do not load.
  • Tap targets on phones are at least 44 by 44 pixels, and pages do not scroll sideways at 320 pixels wide.
  • Form labels are always visible, required fields are marked in text as well as color, errors are announced and listed at the top of the form, and focus moves to the first field that needs fixing.

Known limits

The map on the contact page is an embed supplied by Google, and its interface is outside this site’s control. The same address is written out as text directly beneath it, so nothing on that page depends on using the map.
