Mini split questions

How do you size a mini split for a room?

We size it from the room, the insulation, the windows and how the space is used. We check those details before selecting the indoor head and outdoor unit.

Does a mini split need a new electrical circuit?

Usually, yes. We install the dedicated circuit with the rest of the system and confirm what the selected unit requires.

What is the difference between single-zone and multi-zone mini splits?

A single-zone system serves one indoor head. A multi-zone system connects more than one indoor head to an outdoor unit. We match the layout to the rooms you need to heat and cool.

Do I need a permit for a mini split?

Permits come from your town. Check the permit office for your town on our service area pages, then call us to discuss the work.
